17-year-old killed after early morning shooting in Uhland
UHLAND, Texas (KXAN) — The Uhland Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting that left a 17-year-old dead.
Uhland Police responded to a report of a shooting that occurred outside a residence on Rocky Road around 1 a.m. on Sunday, according to a press release.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 17-year-old male with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Uhland Police said an altercation took place at the residence and a firearm was pulled out by an unidentified individual. According to the release, the suspect had left the scene before officers arrived.
The victim’s identity is being withheld at this time, said the release.
No arrests have been made and no further information is available at this time.
The investigation is ongoing. Uhland PD has requested the assistance of the Texas Rangers. Anyone with information related to this incident is urged to contact the Uhland Police Department.
