Boston-bound plane carrying six people goes missing after ‘losing contact’ with FAA

A plane carrying six people has disappeared off the coast of Nantucket, leading the Coast Guard to launch a desperate air and surface search.

The Gulfstream G100 was flying from Bermuda to Boston at 12:41 a.m. Saturday and lost contact with the Federal Aviation Administration before it was scheduled to land at 1:25 a.m., according to the USCG and FlightAware.

Latitude Air Ambulance is the operator of the flight; the Ontario-based company did not respond to request for comment.

Two Coast Guard aircraft are currently conducting a search just south of Nantucket, according to FlightRadar24.
