Super Bowl 2025: DeAndre Hopkins’ Jaw-Dropping Fashion Is a Tribute to His Late Dad – E! Online

DeAndre Hopkins is making his family proud.

As the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver arrived to the 2025 Super Bowl at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans Feb. 9, he paid tribute to his father Harris Hopkins—who died in a car crash just five months after he was born—by wearing a long mink jacket that belonged to his dad before he passed.

Prior to facing off against the Philadelphia Eagles, DeAndre explained the significance of the heartwarming fashion statement.

“My dad died in 1992, and he left me a couple things,” the 32-year-old told reporters in a video posted on X (formerly Twitter) Feb. 3. “One of the things he left me was a mink jacket, so I always said I would wear that mink jacket to my wedding or to the Super Bowl, whichever one happened first.”

Visibly emotional, DeAndre noted that “obviously I’m not married, so I’ma wear my daddy’s mink jacket.”
