AFD puts out fire in east Austin home, no injuries

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Fire Department on Wednesday night said it put out a fire at a single-story home in east Austin in the 2000 block of East 10th Street. That’s near the intersection of East 7th Street and North Pleasant Valley Road.

AFD said the fire in a back room had spread to the attic.

Authorities said there were no injuries and all occupants were outside of the home.

A KXAN photojournalist at the scene said the fire was out just before 11:30 p.m.
