AUSTIN (KXAN) — An omega blocking pattern will deliver an abundance of Gulf moisture to the southern Plains and Deep South, allowing widespread thunderstorms to return as we enter the new workweek. A few storms may be severe.
In the Midwest and Northeast, heavy rain is expected to disrupt travel plans, with localized flash flooding possible.
The northern Plains will likely be warmer than normal with a mostly dry week ahead.
