Reese Witherspoon Reveals Son Tennessee’s Surprising Nickname for Her

Reese Witherspoon has little nicknames everywhere.

The Legally Blonde star revealed the different names people in her life have called her over the years—and her 12-year-old son Tennessee Toth, whom she shares with ex-husband Jim Toth, gave her the most unique one: “Morty.”

Although, as the 49-year-old told fans in her May 7 Instagram video, she has “no clue why.”

The Oscar winner went on to reveal several more monikers—including her “government” name Laura Jeanne—she’s known for. Those include, “‘Reese’ to my fans, ‘Sister’ to my brother, ‘R Dubs’ to my friends, ‘Ladybug’ to my mother, and ‘Pieces’ to my high school children.”  

And the list doesn’t end there, as she noted her and ex Ryan Phillippe’s older kids Ava Phillippe, 25, and Deacon Phillippe, 21, call her “mama.” Meanwhile, her friends’ children refer to her as “Miss Reese.”
