1 dead in east Austin head-on collision



AUSTIN (KXAN) — One person died Saturday after a head-on collision in east Austin, according to first responders.

Austin-Travis County EMS said four people were involved in the two-vehicle crash, which occurred shortly after 9 a.m. near the 7000 block of Farm-to-Market 969.

ATCEMS said medics performed CPR on an adult, but the person died.

At the time of the crash, all four people were declared trauma alerts. One adult patient was taken to the hospital with critical injuries, and two others had serious, but not life-threatening injuries, according to ATCEMS.
