2 New York State troopers stabbed by suspected car thief during wild arrest


Two New York State troopers were stabbed by a suspected car thief in a brazen attack Saturday afternoon, officials said.

The violence erupted as the law officers attempted to arrest the female driver — but she resisted, stabbing one trooper in the eye and the other in the head around 3:25 p.m. at Crosby’s Gas Station in Bolivar, New York State Police announced.

The trooper who was stabbed in the eye was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital in serious condition.
Bolivar is a small town in Western New York, south of Buffalo.
