Indeed, after a yearslong battle trying to obtain the masters for Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989 and Reputation, Taylor—who went on to release rerecorded albums for all except Taylor Swift and Reputation—emphasized that her “greatest dream” had come true.
As she put it, “All I’ve ever wanted was the opportunity to work hard enough to one day purchase my masters outright with no strings attached, no partnership, with full autonomy.”
As Taylor celebrated her milestone while out with Selena, the Wizards of Waverly Place alum also shared her support on her Instagram Stories, writing, “Yes you did that Tay. So proud!”
