Delays on I-35 in Round Rock after highway shut down briefly

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) said a portion of both northbound and southbound Interstate 35 was closed due to police activity.

The department said the closure impacted all lanes and was at Louis Henna Boulevard.

TxDOT said traffic was being diverted to Hesters Crossing. Northbound traffic has also been diverted to State Highway 45.

Round Rock Police said the road will be reopened soon.
