Giants survive another Jaxson Dart injury scare after Russell Wilson’s brief appearance

It’s the worst sight possible for the Giants – Jaxson Dart on the ground in pain.

But it appears they avoided the worst – again.

The rookie quarterback stayed down on his back after trying to scramble late in the third quarter of the Giants’ “Thursday Night Football” clash against the Eagles.

Dart was hit by Eagles linebacker Patrick Johnson before hitting his head hard on Philadelphia linebacker Azeez Ojulari’s helmet.

Dart was quickly treated by trainers, but was able to jog off the field under his own power.

He subsequently went to the blue medical tent and was checked for a concussion but was quickly cleared.

Russell Wilson replaced him for two plays before the Giants punted, and Dart returned on the next drive.

The Giants were leading, 27-17, when Dart went down.

He previously had brief concussion square in his first start, a 21-18 win over the Chargers in Week 4.
