Kris Jenner Looks Completely Different With a Platinum Blonde Bob

In her decades in the spotlight, Jenner has rarely strayed from her signature jet-black pixie cut. The hairstyle is undeniably part of her brand—so much so that each of her daughters showed up to celebrate her 67th-birthday party in a Kris Jenner wig. This isn’t the first time that the 69-year-old has experimented in the blonde realm: Appleton also bleached her hair platinum in 2018. It is, however, the first time we’ve seen the color on a style other than Jenner’s piecey pixie.

Last spring, Jenner grew her hair out into a sharp, jaw-length bob (courtesy of celebrity hairstylist Justine Marjan). Since then, she’s had some fun with her styling. She’s added bangs and texture, channeling major French bob energy, and slicked it back into some sculptural wet looks. Her latest look leans more toward the latter: Jenner revealed her new color on a side-parted and slicked-straight bob.

While Jenner is straying further from her old look, Kim Kardashian is paying homage to it. Kardashian debuted her “Paris pixie,” complete with wispy bangs, earlier this week. Kardashian’s rendition of the cut is very flapper-coded—a 1920s hair trend we’ve noticed taking over red carpets recently—but TBH, it’s hard to properly analyze it beyond saying, “She looks exactly like her mom.”

The naturally dark-haired KarJenners are no strangers to an impulsive bleach—from Kardashian’s iced-out 2024 Met Gala look to Kendall Jenner’s “old money” honey tone—so we can’t say that Kris Jenner’s latest look is completely out of left field. We definitely can count on her to use her new color as an excuse to have more fun. In the comments, Paris Hilton made us nostalgic while giving Kris Jenner’s new look the ultimate blonde stamp of approval: “That’s hot.”
