Fifth Season And Picturestart Lock Multi-Year Partnership
Fifth Season has locked a new multi-year partnership with Erik Feig’s Picturestart.
The two companies said that as part of the deal, Picturestart will receive additional shared services, including business affairs, finance, production, and strategic insight from Fifth Season. The companies will also increase film and television co-productions.
Picturestart will continue to oversee its own film and television slate, with senior production executives Jessica Switch, Julia Hammer, and Emily Wissink all entering into new agreements with the company. Erik Feig, the former studio head who founded Picturestart and is its largest investor, will serve as Executive Chairman. Fifth Season was an initial investor in Picturestart. Fifth Season CEO Graham Taylor sits on the Picturestart board.
“Extending our partnership brings together the best of both worlds, empowering Picturestart’s excellent creative team with our powerful global infrastructure and partner network,” Taylor said in a statement. “Picturestart quickly established itself as one of the industry’s most exciting production companies, and we’ve long appreciated its work. In its new form, it is positioned well to bring its bold storytelling to audiences everywhere — while supporting artists at every stage. I look forward to achieving great things alongside Erik and the fantastic Picturestart team.”
Picturestart’s most recent releases include Together, starring Dave Franco and Alison Brie, the Mila Kunis-starrer Luckiest Girl Alive, and the Apple TV original Sharper, starring Julianne Moore and Sebastian Stan.

Earlier this week, Feig was named CEO of the Saudi-backed Arena SNK Studios.
