Man accused of assaulting 6-year-old with baseball bat found not guilty by reason of insanity

A 41-year-old man was found not guilty by reason of insanity on a capital murder charge of a person under 10 after he was accused of assaulting a 6-year-old with a baseball bat in Georgetown in September 2023. The child later died from his injuries in November 2023.
