Grim details reveal Rob Reiner, wife Michele were dead for hours
Slain Hollywood director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele were dead for at least several hours — with rigor mortis already appearing to have set in — before they were found, according to a report.
The couple was fatally stabbed sometime between Saturday night and when they were discovered by their daughter Romy around 3:30 p.m. Sunday — with son Nick Reiner now in custody for the slayings, cops said.
When Romy found her parents’ bodies, their remains were in a state of rigor mortis, law-enforcement sources told TMZ.
A state of decay generally begins two to six hours after death.
Nick, 32, was later taken into custody on suspicion he committed the double-slaying and has since been detained in jail.
The drug addict was supposed to appear in court Tuesday but was not medically cleared to travel to the courthouse, his lawyer said.
