Simone Biles shades Packers with cheese grater hat after Bears husband rallies in overtime
Victory smells good to Simone Biles.
The seven-time Olympic gold medalist took to the field Saturday night after husband Jonathan Owens’ Bears downed the Packers in overtime, 22-16, with her group donning cheese grater hats to commemorate the thrilling rally at home.
Captioning her TikTok video, “Cheese still stinks,” Biles can be seen holding her nose in the end zone as a remix of Chicago’s fight song, “Bear Down, Chicago Bears,” played in the background.
The famed Olympic gymnast, 28, also posted a celebratory video from her Soldier Field suite before the group broke out their cheeky headgear.
Owens, 30, is in his second season with the Bears after spending the 2023 campaign in Green Bay.
The Bears improved to 11-4 with a primetime win Saturday over their division rival, a victory that gave Chicago a 1.5 lead over Green Bay (9-5-1) in the NFC North standings.
Chicago holds the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoff race as of Sunday and has a 94 percent chance of reaching the postseason.
The Bears haven’t cracked the playoffs since 2020.
“This is a special group,” first-year coach Ben Johnson said, according to the Associated Press. “I felt that early in the season. You get with some of those wins — the Raiders game and the Washington game — and you start feeling it, the belief coming. This group — I’m talking about coaches and players combined — it’s rare. It really is.”
Biles has long been part of Owens’ NFL journey.
First linked in 2020, when Owens was a member of the Texans, the couple got engaged in February 2022.
They tied the knot in April 2023 with a courthouse ceremony before venturing to Mexico the following month for a destination wedding.
