How Hailey Bieber Takes Her Favorite Jeans from Day to Night
Hailey Bieber is living proof that your wardrobe really only needs one pair of great jeans.
On February 3 in Los Angeles, the Rhode Skincare founder was spotted in two different outfits but the same pair of straight-leg, mid-rise, medium wash denim—an all purpose jean if we’ve ever seen one. And the two looks demonstrate exactly how we’re taking our outfits from day-to-night in 2026. Interestingly, both outfits follow a similar formula.
SPOT, GOME, RMLA, BUFR, SOVE
The first, which is what Bieber wore to run errands the morning after the Grammys, included a cropped, gray spaghetti strap tank, an animal print tote, and the model’s signature slicked-back bun. The thing that makes this a real look, of course, is the patent leather pumps. A classic example of the wrong-shoe theory.
For the evening’s ensemble, Bieber reversed the formula. She wore the same jeans with a dressy black leather jacket with faux-fur trim, loose hair and a black leather tote. In accordance with the wrong-shoe theory again, she finished the outfit with black thong sandals instead of heels. Incidentally, this also indicates that flip-flops will continue to be on trend this coming spring, so stock your shoe racks accordingly.
ROLO, PEGR
Both outfits, we’ll note, are pristine examples of the sleek basics Hailey Bieber has made her signature style—especially lately. On February 2 she attended the Grammys with her husband Justin in a minimalist, strapless, and partially sheer black Alaia gown with simple jewelry and that slicked-back bun again. For the after-party she changed into another very Hailey Bieber outfit: a glittery white halter minidress from Ludovic De Saint Sernin, per Harper’s Bazaar, with strappy white sandals to match and a tiny, sparkly silver bag.
Because a signature style doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes it just comes down to the right jeans and the wrong shoes.
