APD: 1 dead after motorcycle crash in north Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department said one person has died following a motorcycle crash that happened in north Austin on May 11. 

According to a press release, Austin police responded to a collision in the 12100 block of Metric Boulevard around 7:30 p.m. APD identified the motorcyclist as Enrique A. Torres. 

Torres was taken to a local hospital for serious injuries, said APD. He was later pronounced deceased on May 14.

Police said no other vehicles were involved in this crash.

KXAN keeps track of the number of fatal crashes in Austin. This incident marks Austin’s 29th fatal crash, resulting in 33 traffic fatalities in 2025 thus far.
