ATCEMS: 1 dead, 3 injured after 2-vehicle crash in southeast Travis County



AUSTIN (KXAN) — One person died, and three others were seriously injured after a crash in southeast Travis County Friday, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

ATCEMS medics said on social media around 7:15 p.m. they responded, along with the Austin Fire Department, to the 2000 block of South State Highway 130 northbound for a two-vehicle crash. Medics said one of the vehicles rolled over with two people in it, and a total of four people were involved in the crash.

In an update shortly after 7:30 p.m., medics said one person was pronounced dead on the scene. The three other people involved were transported to the hospital. One person had “critical, life threatening injuries,” and the other two had “potentially serious injuries.”

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) said on social media shortly before 7 p.m. that all northbound lanes of SH 130 Toll at State Highway 71 were closed due to the crash. Furthermore, TxDOT said traffic was diverted to the SH 71 exit.
