‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Stars Assemble To Support New Marvel Movie ‘Thunderbolts*’: Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby & More
The Avengers have assembled to support Thunderbolts*, the latest installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Amid filming for Avengers: Doomsday, the cast of the upcoming superhero movie took a break to watch the new Marvel film.
Robert Downey Jr., who returns to the MCU as Doctor Doom, shared a set of photos on social media with his co-stars.
“Just wow!!! Dinner and a show with the Old Avengers. So cool, fresh, and deep. Big congrats,” he posted.
Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Channing Tatum (Gambit), Simu Liu (Shang-Chi), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Thing), Vanessa Kirby (Susan Storm), Winston Duke (M’Baku), and Anthony Mackie (Captain America) were the other actors with Downey in the photo.
The Thor star also took to social media to share the same photo and added, “Watched #thunderbolts last night with the avengers family and was blown away, films amazing, in cinemas now, don’t miss it!”
Thunderbolts* is the latest entry to the MCU and sets up the following movies like The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which premieres on July 25, and Avengers: Doomsday, which premieres on May 1, 2026.
Thunderbolts* is directed by Jake Schreier and stars Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova), Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes), Lewis Pullman (Sentry), Olga Kurylenko (Taskmaster), Wyatt Russell (John Walker), Hannah John-Kamen (Ghost), and David Harbour (Red Guardian).
Avengers: Doomsday will bring back superheroes from the past which include the X-Men like Patrick Stewart (Charles Xavier / Professor X), Ian McKellen (Magneto), Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler), Rebecca Romijn (Mystique), James Marsden (Cyclops), and Kelsey Grammer (Beast).
