Candice Miller makes shocking social media move after husband Brandon’s death less than a year ago
Candice Miller deactivated her Mama & Tata Instagram account this week, nearly a year after her husband, Brandon, tragically died by suicide.
As of Friday, the page reads, “Profile isn’t available.” The social media move comes just days after Candice made her social media return on her personal account following nearly a year of silence.
Her post, shared Tuesday, included a cryptic message about “strength.”
She had shared a photo of a sunset along with an inspiring quote by French philosopher Albert Camus.
“In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer,” the quote read.
“And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger – something better, pushing right back.”
Friends and fans flooded the comments section of her post to show their support, including influencer Arielle Charnas, designer Ronny Kobo and model Anne Marie Kortright Martinez.
As Page Six previously reported, Brandon died at his home in Water Mill, NY, on July 3, 2024 — days after he was hospitalized in a local intensive care unit. He was 43.
Brandon and Candice were childhood friends and tied the knot in 2009. They welcomed two daughters.
Weeks after the news of his death surfaced, Candice released a statement via a family spokesperson.
“Candice is devastated by the loss of her soul mate, and her two young daughters’ lives are forever impacted by the loss of their beloved daddy,” the lifestyle blogger’s rep said in a statement to the New York Times.
Local law enforcement was called to the scene after a carbon monoxide alarm went off. First responders discovered Brandon in his Porsche Carrera that he allegedly “rigged to poison himself.”
He was reportedly found clutching a photo of himself with Candice and their kids.
The real estate exec reportedly left a letter for Candice in which he expressed his love for her and their daughters and informed her about their two life insurance policies that totaled about $15 million.
The couple was allegedly drowning in debt before Brandon’s suicide, a source told The Post that July.
Brandon allegedly owed about $17 million to a friend who lent him money. He was also being sued for more than $100,000 for luxury furniture and $50,000 for boat-related charges.
Candice allegedly had no idea about Brandon’s financial troubles, as the pair rarely talked about family finances. However, she learned of his debts last May when a friend informed her.
Last summer, Candice listed their Hamptons estate for $15 million. In January, Page Six reported that Candice was also selling her belongings in a fire sale auction.
A source exclusively confirmed last August that Candice and her kids moved to Miami to start a new life.
However, she couldn’t escape her financial struggles as she was sued last September for allegedly failing to pay $195,000 in unpaid rent for her New York City condo.
Still, we’re told Candice is doing “OK” and has been “out and about” after moving to Miami.
