City of Austin to give update on new strategies, funding to address homelessness


AUSTIN (KXAN) — City of Austin staff and the community will get a broad update on new strategies to address homelessness Monday.

The Audit and Finance Committee will hold a joint meeting with the Public Health Committee on Monday at 1 p.m. at City Hall. The public is invited to attend.

David Gray, with the Homeless Strategy Office, will share insight related to funding, partnerships, and where the City of Austin can take advantage of ongoing investments in the homelessness response system.

These efforts are a part of a resolution the city adopted in January 2025.
