Companies ready to 'capitalize on the action' as South by Southwest returns in March



AUSTIN (Austin Business Journal/KXAN) — Marketing is ramping up as Austin’s biggest annual event returns in March—South by Southwest (SXSW).

SXSW happens annually every March in Austin and features film and television screenings, music and comedy showcases, awards ceremonies and more, according to the SXSW website.

In addition to the event bringing the conference and festival aspects, companies have found a way to “capitalize on the action,” according to The Austin Business Journal. The publication highlighted a trade show that takes over on downtown Austin streets during the event, which ranges from “multimillion-dollar endeavors to low-budget guerilla marketing campaigns.”
