Construction underway for Manor’s first hospital
AUSTIN (KXAN) — On Thursday, the city of Manor held a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the beginning of construction for its first licensed general hospital.
The TXM Manor Emergency Room is a $25 million physician-owned facility meant to address the healthcare gap in eastern Travis County, according to the city.
“The healthcare facility will provide emergency care, inpatient services and surgical capabilities to an area where emergency transports can take 25-45 minutes to reach an ER,” the city said.
According to the city, the hospital will be built off U.S. Highway 290, and it is expected to open in 2026.
