‘Digman!’ Season 2 Trailer Gets Meta, Teasing Andy Samberg’s Return As Crass Celebrity Archaeologist & Revealing Upcoming Premiere Date
EXCLUSIVE: Rip Digman is back! Well, almost.
Comedy Central revealed the premiere date for the upcoming second season of Digman! the animated series from Lonely Island’s Andy Samberg and Neil Campbell. Season 2 will premiere on July 9 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.
Deadline can exclusively share the trailer for Season 2, which gets a bit meta as it teases some of Rip’s upcoming adventures (and mishaps).
“This show sucks!” Swooper, voiced by Tim Robinson yells to the television screen, where this very trailer is playing.
“But doesn’t it at least feel good to all be back together again?” Rip replies, promising: “It gets good! Briefly. And then really bad again for the whole rest of it.”

Digman! is set in a world where archaeologists are massive celebrities and the coolest people on the planet, with Samberg providing the voice of the protagonist, Rip Digman. The series will air weekly on Wednesday night’s following Season 27 of South Park.
Season 1 of Digman! marked the first to be written and produced by Samberg and Campbell. Rejoining Samberg in the cast for season 2 are Mitra Jouhari as Saltine, Tim Robinson as Swooper, Dale Soules as Agatha, Guz Khan as Zane, Melissa Fumero as Bella, and Tim Meadows as Quail Eegan.
Digman! is created by Samberg and Campbell and produced by CBS Studios alongside Ali Bell and The Lonely Island’s Party Over Here banner. Titmouse will executive produce, with their own Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio and Ben Kalina.
