EPD: 2 found dead in Elgin home, police investigating



AUSTIN (KXAN) — Two people were found dead at a home in Elgin on Tuesday, and the Elgin Police Department said it is investigating.

On Tuesday morning, Elgin PD said on social media it responded to a welfare check at a home in the 200 block of East 11th Street. When officers arrived, they went into the home and found two people dead, according to police.

Police said this was an isolated incident, and there was no threat to the public. The Elgin Criminal Investigations Division will investigate the case, police said.

Elgin PD said no other details will be released until the next of kin is notified for both people.
