Former APD officer set for plea hearing
AUSTIN (KXAN) — Former Austin Police Officer Brian Yarger is scheduled for a plea hearing Tuesday for charges of assault causing bodily injury and official oppression.
Yarger faces these misdemeanor charges in three separate cases, according to Travis County Court documents.
The plea agreement’s terms were listed in only one of the three cases. It states the following:
- Yarger would surrender his peace officer license
- He will not object to the State’s statement on the case
- He will be placed on 12 months of deferred adjudication
