Hayu Hints At ‘The Real Housewives Of London’ Cast With New Teaser
Hayu is hinting at the cast announcement of The Real Housewives of London with a new teaser.
The streamer dropped a video sharing the logo for RHOL for the first time, which uses an umbrella as the franchise’s symbol.
“London’s calling — who’s on the line? Don’t let it go to voicemail. Cast announcement soon,” reads the caption.
RHOL is Hayu’s first original series, an adaptation of Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise set in London.
Chanel Ayan, a star of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Dubai, commented, “Juliet is everything.”
Rumors suggest Bravo’s Ladies of London alum Juliet Angus is one of the stars of RHOL, which Ayan teased.
Journalist Elizabeth Day recently revealed that RHOL producers approached her but ultimately shut down the opportunity to star in the reality series.
“I did have a conversation about it, but it was very informal, and it would be brilliant, but it would remove my enjoyment of the show as a viewer,” Day said on Alison Hammond’s podcast Smart TV.
Day, who is a super fan of The Real Housewives franchise explained why she wouldn’t have been able to be part of the series.
“I don’t think I could cope,” she added. “Well, I’ve already said no, but I couldn’t cope because there’s also a lot of online attention that these housewives get. I don’t know if I’ve got the cojones for it anyway.”
The Real Housewives of London is not being produced by Bravo. However, the U.S. cable network recently revealed plans to reboot Ladies of London with a new cast.
