How Dancing With the Stars Judge Bruno Tonioli Flubbed Whitney Leavitt’s Score at Premiere

Whitney Leavitt is doing a happy dance after this scoring mistake.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star hit the Dancing With the Stars ballroom for the season 34 premiere on Sept. 16, performing the tango with pro partner Mark Ballas to the HUNTR/X song “Golden.”

And judges Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli were quite impressed, holding up their score cards to show they each awarded a seven out of 10. However, the screen revealed that Bruno had electronically submitted his score as an eight, prompting cohost Julianne Hough to set the record straight.

“Actually, we just came through my ear right now,” she told the duo, “Bruno actually put in an eight, so we have to correct it. It’s a 15.”

As Bruno, 69, laughed and shrugged off his flub, Julianne quipped, “We love live television.”

Indeed, Whitney and Mark wowed the judges with their live rendition of the tango.
