‘Industry’ Season 4 Episode 3 sees Marisa Abela’s Yasmin orchestrate a threesome with Sally Draper and Jon Snow: “I don’t think Don Draper would be very proud”

Industry Season 4 Episode 3 “Habseligkeiten” features a sex scene that might very well blow even the most cynical HBO viewer’s mind.

**Spoilers for Industry Season 4 Episode 3 “Habseligkeiten,” now streaming on HBO Max**

While staying with Austrian fascists on a business trip, Yasmin Kara-Hanani (Marisa Abela) coerces her husband Henry Muck (Kit Harington) into an uncomfortable threesome with Tender’s pretty American assistant, Hayley Clay (Kiernan Shipka).

Besides serving as a foundational schism in the Mucks’ marriage, this sex scene sees Yasmin orchestrating a raunchy hookup between two characters played by actors famous for their past work on Peak TV classics Game of Thrones and Mad Men. HBO’s Industry just gave the world a Sally Draper/Jon Snow sex scene that ends with Yasmin Kara-Hanani licking her husband’s ejaculation out of another woman’s body!

Oh, and Industry co-creators and co-showrunners Mickey Down and Konrad Kay let DECIDER know they are fully aware of what they’ve done.

“These are recognizable people doing pretty unrecognizable things for the people they played before, which is really fun,” Mickey Down said. “When we first thought about Kiernan Shipka in this role, that’s really quite a fun little bit of circularity that we’re doing a work-based drama [like Mad Men] and now Sally Draper is having cum sucked out of her by our female lead.”

“I don’t think her dad, I don’t think Don [Draper] would be very proud,” Konrad Kay quipped.

Of course, sex in Industry always tells us something else about the characters. The big Industry Season 4 Episode 3 Yasmin/Henry/Hayley sex scene is actually about something deeper than just sex. According to Industry star Kit Harington, it represents a “major fissure” for Yasmin and Henry.

“I think, interestingly, the person there that’s being manipulated most is Henry,” Kit Harington told DECIDER. “Yasmin is asking Henry to do something he doesn’t want to do.”

“So the whole thing, I was like, ‘Wait a minute. He’s being thrust into something he doesn’t want to do.’ Like he’s trying to go clean, he’s trying to deal with his issues and some of his issues around women, which are significant. Then he’s been pushed into this thing and I felt sorry for him.”

Why does Yasmin push her husband like this? “I think that Yasmin is kind of looking for ways to be powerful in this relationship and I think undoubtedly that is the scene where we see Yasmin hold the most power from the beginning of the season,” Marisa Abela told DECIDER. “And I think that that’s just what she’s craving.”

“In Hayley, she’s sort of being reintroduced to a version of Yasmin that really we saw in Season 1 with like Robert,” Abela continued. “When a vulnerable person — a sexual, vulnerable person — offers themselves up to Yasmin, she bites. That’s for sure.”

“So I think that Yasmin sees that she can use Hayley to her own advantage and show her husband that she is powerful. And that’s what she does in that moment, I think.”

Yasmin might enjoy the power she wields over Henry and Hayley in this week’s Industry, but Harington offered a note of warning. “Yasmin does something that breaks things,” he said.

Yasmin, break things? Why does that sound familiar?
