Lola Tung’s ‘Skater Jeans’ Take Low-Rise Denim to a Whole New Level

If you’ve so much as dipped a pinky toe into the The Summer I Turned Pretty fandom over the past few weeks, you know that Belly Conklin (Lola Tung), has been going through it (spoilers ahead), calling off her wedding to Jeremiah while she slowly pieces together that she’s been in love with his brother Conrad all along, but probably has some maturing and growing up to do before they can actually be together in an endgame type of way. Despite the beachside setting, literally every character on that show seems to be stressed the hell out.

Not Tung, though! She’s happily enjoying her It girl status, strolling the streets of NYC in an outfit that screams “couldn’t be me in a toxic love triangle!” and we simply love that for her—2025: the summer she turned chill.

The Coach brand ambassador stepped out looking just pleased as punch in chunky purple sunglasses, a crop top printed with a picture of wrestler Kerry Von Erich, low-slung Coach skater jeans, and a black Coachtopia Alter/Ego Crescent bag in New York City on Tuesday, September 2, accessorizing with silver earrings and rings.

In true Young Person fashion, she let her pant hems drag on the sidewalk, making everyone above the age of 25 in the vicinity worry that she was about to trip and break her pretty face, but that’s how the kids are dressing these days, mom!
