Man dies in the weeks following southeast Austin crash



AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department said a man died Saturday after being involved in a single-vehicle crash on May 4.

According to APD, 66-year-old Samuel Rosa was taken to the hospital following the crash, which occurred shortly before 1 p.m. in the 4600 Block of East William Cannon Drive.

APD said Rosa later died at the hospital.

This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 33rd fatal crash of 2025, according to police.
