Object & Animal, Producer Of Peabody Award-Winning Netflix Doc ‘Daughters,’ Signs With Verve
EXCLUSIVE: Object & Animal, the production company behind the Peabody Award-winning Netflix doc Daughters, has signed with Verve for representation.
Since its launch in 2018, Object & Animal has become one of the leading commercial, music video, and creative studios in the world of advertising. With Object & Animal Films, the company continues to scale its ambitions across both scripted and unscripted formats in film and television, aiming to build out a slate of urgent and globally resonant storytelling that shifts culture and elevates underrepresented voices.

Object & Animal’s first documentary Daughters premiered at Sundance in 2024, winning both the Audience Award and the Festival Favorite Award before being acquired by Netflix. Winning a Peabody Award earlier this month, the film is currently nominated for two News & Documentary Emmy Awards and has also received BAFTA and DGA Award nominations.
With offices in London, Los Angeles, and New York, Object & Animal has collaborated with the likes of two-time Palme d’Or winner Ruben Östlund (Triangle of Sadness), Bertie Ellwood (Lessons in Chemistry, Hawkeye), Oscar Boyson (Our Hero, Balthazar), and creative polymath FKA twigs.
The company’s slate also includes Shuffle, SXSW’s 2025 Grand Jury Documentary winner that exposes how a profit-driven rehabilitation industry exploits addiction for financial gain; Kiss My Grass, exploring the systemic barriers Black women face in the cannabis industry, which premiered at this year’s Tribeca Festival; Fractured States, am exploration of incarceration and systemic inequality premiering at the San Quentin Film Festival in October; and While We Heal, a current production that will offer an intimate and ongoing portrait of recovery amid conflict in Ukraine. On the scripted side, their slate includes the romantic comedy Peak Everything, which premiered at Cannes in May, with further projects to be announced soon.
Named a Top 10 Production Company by Ad Age, Object & Animal has twice been awarded UKMVA’s Production Company of the Year, with additional honors at shows like Cannes Lions, D&AD, AICP, APA, British Arrows, CICLOPE, Clio Awards, MTV VMAs and EMAs. The company has also received three Grammy nominations and, in 2023, earned the UN & Cannes Health Grand Prix for Good award for its impact-driven work.
