This Vibrant Global Tribute Will Raise Critical Funds for Metastatic Breast Cancer Research

October isn’t just the month for moody manicures and plaid, it’s also Breast Cancer Awareness Month. And one day in October is especially meaningful: October 13, Metastic Breast Cancer Awareness Day.

And one initiative has helped the awareness of day go mainstream: an annual event that shines light on the cause—quite literally. During #LightUpMBC, almost 300 monuments in all 50 states and more than a dozen countries around the world light up in green, pink, and teal, the colors of the breast-cancer-awareness ribbon that goes beyond pink.

To mark the occasion, actor, singer, and songwriter Gina Naomi Baez, a three-time cancer survivor, and motivational speaker Tami Eagle Bowling, who’s living with metastatic breast cancer, will host #LightUpMBC Live, a livestreamed production that raises awareness of metastatic breast cancer, which is incurable, and raises funds for metastatic breast cancer research.

(Learn more about metastatic breast cancer and the tricolor metastatic-breast-cancer-awareness ribbon and #LightUpMBC here.)

And this year, you can watch #LightUpMBC Live on Glamour! Join us right here ot 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST on Monday, October 13.
