WCSO: 22-year-old dead after shooting just outside Georgetown city limits

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A 22-year-old Georgetown man is dead after a shooting last Friday night in the 20100 block of McShepherd Road, just outside of Georgetown city limits, according to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.

When deputies and Williamson County EMS arrived at the scene, they found Johnathon Cruz dead, according to WCSO.

Authorities said this was an isolated incident, and there is no current threat to the public.

WCSO said the investigation remains active and further details will be provided when new information becomes available.
