‘Baywatch’ Reboot Beaches At Amazon Prime Video Across Europe & India
Reach for your red lifebuoy; Baywatch is heading back to Europe and beyond.
Fox’s reboot of the 1989 drama has been picked up by Amazon Prime Video across Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Benelux, Switzerland, Austria, Turkey, Canada, Latin America, and India.
The deals, brokered by Fremantle, follow Sky acquiring Baywatch in the UK and Ireland.
Baywatch, which wrapped its original 11‑season run 25 years ago, returns in January next year with 12 new episodes. Prime Video will also stream the complete Baywatch back catalogue.
The new Baywatch series stars Stephen Amell in the lead role of Hobie Buchannon, alongside Jessica Belkin as Charlie Vale, Shay Mitchell as Trina, Hassie Harrison as Nat, Thaddeus LaGrone as Brad, Noah Beck as Luke, and Brooks Nader as Selene.
In recurring roles, David Chokachi reprises his original role as Cody Madison, while Livvy Dunne portrays Grace. Erika Eleniak will also reprise her original role as Shauni McClain as a guest star.

Matt Nix (Burn Notice) serves as showrunner and executive producer alongside executive producers McG, Michael Berk, Greg Bonann, Doug Schwartz, Dante Di Loreto and Mike Horowitz. McG (Charlie’s Angels) directs the series premiere episode. FOX Entertainment Global holds all domestic distribution rights. Fremantle manages all international sales.
The original Baywatch, made famous by David Hasselhoff, ran from 1989 to 2001, first on NBC and then on syndication around the world.
