Erin Moriarty Drops Out Of Fan Expo Denver

As The Boys fans bid farewell to the Prime Video series after its finale, star Erin Moriarty has had to drop out of an upcoming fan convention.

On Thursday, the actress shared her regrets as she cancelled her appearance at this weekend’s Fan Expo Denver, noting only that it “was absolutely necessary” to miss the four-day event.

“I am gutted to say that I will not be able to attend @fanexpodenver this weekend,” wrote Moriarty on her Instagram Story. “This is not a decision I make lightly; I would not be missing this unless it was absolutely necessary. I love you guys, and I’m truly sorry to disappoint anyone who was planning to come see me.”

Sharing her Graves’ disease diagnosis last year while filming the fifth and final season, Moriarty recently detailed the “physical hell of chronic illness” she faced while filming the Eric Kripke-created show’s conclusion.

Moriarty’s latest post comes after The Boys wrapped up its five-season run with last Wednesday’s highly anticipated series finale, ‘Blood and Bone’, in which her character Annie January/Starlight gets a happy ever after with Hughie (Jack Quaid), ending with a time jump of the couple expecting a baby.

Meanwhile, the prequel series Vought Rising premieres on Prime Video in 2027, and Kripke previously told Deadline that The Boys: Mexico is “heading in the right direction” as executive producers Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal develop the spin-off writer Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer.
