Woman stabs man to death inside Long Island home: cops
A 22-year-old woman was taken into custody after a 28-year-old man was stabbed to death inside his Long Island home on Monday, cops said.
Nassau County cops swarmed a residential street in Massapequa as they investigated the slashing at about 1:30 a.m. — with neighbors saying they saw a woman run from the house screaming in the middle of the night.
Police said they responded to a 911 call and found the unconscious victim with a stab wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman was taken into custody after a “thorough investigation,” police said Monday afternoon. Cops did not say what she had been charged with.
Residents in the neighborhood described seeing a woman park an SUV up the street and enter the home late last night.
Some neighbors also described seeing a woman, who they identified as the victim’s mother, running out of the home and crying for help.
“I’ve lived here for 64 years — something like this happening is unheard of in this neighborhood,” said one shocked neighbor, who only identified as Tom.
